Aiding a suicide charge, Clayfield
Police have charged a 48-year-old Mount Nebo man this evening with aiding a suicide.
This follows an investigation by Hendra CIB into the sudden death of a 76-year-old man at a residence in Junction Road, Clayfield on June 20, 2009.
The man was found deceased by a neighbour about 5.30pm that day.
It will be alleged the man died as a result of having high levels of Pentobarbital in his system, a drug not readily available in Australia and normally used to euthanize animals.
A 48-year-old man was arrested and charged with aiding a suicide under Section 311 of the Criminal Code.
He has also been charged with importation of a border controlled drug under Section 307.4 of the Commonwealth Code.
The man will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
