Fatal truck rollover, near Miriam Vale: Police are investigating a fatal truck crash last night that claimed the life of the driver and sole occupant, believed to be a 49-year-old Coombabah man. The prime mover rolled on the Bruce Highway about 30 kilometres south of Miriam Vale. It is believed the truck and trailer carrying timber left the road around 8.40pm overturned and came to rest on its side down an embankment. Investigations are continuing.
Fatal motorcycle crash, Lota: A 19-year-old woman died tragically overnight after the motorcycle she was riding collided with a street sweeping vehicle on Whites Road, Lota around 11pm. It is believed the street sweeper was performing a u-turn at the time of the incident. The woman suffered fatal head injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Queensland Ambulance Service officers. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are continuing.
