Afternoon Round-up, South Eastern Region

Chemist break and enter, Oxenford: Police are currently investigating the break and enter of a chemist at the corner of Old Pacific Highway and Tamborine-Oxenford Road this morning. About 12.30am two men have entered the chemist after smashing the front window while another man remained outside. The men stole a quantity of drugs from the store. The medication stolen did not contain pseudoephedrine. The men were all wearing gloves at the time and were seen leaving the store in a vehicle believed to have been stolen from Bethania last night. The white stolen sedan (QLD registration 351BRK) has not been located.

Armed robbery, Broadbeach Waters: Police have released a comfit of a man who stole a sum of cash from Cypress Drive, Broadbeach Waters take-away store yesterday afternoon. About 3.45pm a man armed with a knife threatened the cashier before demanding money. He was last seen walking along Nerang-Broadbeach Road. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, between 20 to 23-years-of-age, with fair complexion, slim build, approximately 170cm tall and was wearing a black coloured baseball cap. He had distinctive red/ginger coloured side-burns that ran from his hair line down the side of his face in line with his chin. He was wearing a black coloured short-sleeved t-shirt with a polo neck, knee length cream coloured pants, white sneakers and very dark black sunglasses.
