Fatal house fire, Wattlecamp (Nanango): Police are investigating a house fire that claimed the life of a 63-year-old Nanango man last night. Queensland Fire and Rescue Service contacted police around 10.30pm and attended to extinguish the blaze at the McGuire Road, Wattlecamp property. A second man, aged 57, also in the residence at the time of the fire, was able to escape and was treated at Kingaroy Hospital for burn injuries. The scene was secured overnight and investigations are continuing.

Vehicle into a tree, Roma: Four teenagers are lucky to be alive after the vehicle they were travelling in hit a tree early this morning. The group was driving along the Warrego Highway, near the Overlander Hotel at Roma, around 12.20am when the vehicle left the road and hit a large bottle tree. Three males and one female were taken to Roma Hospital for treatment. The vehicle has been seized for examination and investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing. Cyclist seriously injured, Springfield: A 61-year-old man is in intensive care in the Mater Hospital today after he came off his bike in Springfield around 7:45pm. It is believed the Springfield Lakes man had been on a regular training ride on his mountain bike and was found on the nature strip on the side of the road at Southern Cross Circuit. Initial investigations have found no evidence to indicate another vehicle was involved in the incident. Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Serious single vehicle crash, Mundubbera (Maryborough District): Police are urging all motorists to drive to the conditions and always wear a seat belt following a serious single vehicle crash on the Old Mundubbera Gayndah Road yesterday morning. It is believed around 6:30am on Wednesday the driver lost control of the sedan on the gravel road and crashed into an embankment. The four occupants aged 23, 24, 25 and 26, believed to be Korean nationals, were treated at the scene and later airlifted by two helicopters to Bundaberg and Nambour hospitals. Treatment was provided for serious facial injuries, fractures, head and internal injuries.
