Morning Round-up

Single vehicle rollover, Kumbia (Kingaroy): A 61-year-old Durong South man received head and internal injuries in a single vehicle rollover on Hodges Dip Road, Kumbia on Sunday. It is believed the man was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle which rolled on the gravel road around 3.30pm about four kilometres from the intersection with Burrandown Road. The man was taken to Kingaroy Hospital by ambulance but was later flown to Brisbane for further treatment and is currently believed to be a serious condition.

Street robbery charges, Kingston: Two men aged 20 and 19 and one boy aged 14, all from Kingston, are expected to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today following two separate robberies on Sunday afternoon. It is believed the three approached a 20-year-old Kingston man as he walked along Jacaranda Avenue, Kingston around 5.30pm. It will be alleged the victim was punched in the face and had his wallet and mobile phone stolen. The men will face one count each of robbery with violence while in company. The 14-year-old is expected to appear before Beenleigh Children’s Court charged with robbery with violence while in company and robbery with violence after an earlier incident where a 16-year-old boy was threatened to hand over money at the intersection of Alba Lane and Jacarada Avenue, Kingston shortly before 4.30pm on Sunday.
