Appeal for witnesses, Worongary: Police are appealing for information from any witnesses to the multiple vehicle crash on the M1 at Worongary on Tuesday April 29. The crash occurred on the north and south bound lanes of the M1 and involved a semi trailer and four vehicles. Police would like to speak to anyone that may have seen a vehicle broken down on the shoulder of the right hand lane of the north bound lanes of the M1 in the vicinity of where the collision occurred. Anyone with information that may assist police is asked to ring Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Unlawful wounding arrest, Lawnton: A woman will appear in court charged with unlawful wounding after a violent altercation at Lawnton this morning. Police attended an altercation at a home in West Dianne Street about 4.45am. It is alleged a 35-year-old man was stabbed in the back with a knife by a 33-year-old woman. The man suffered a punctured lung and was taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital where he remains in a stable condition. The woman has been charged with unlawful wounding and she will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Murder arrest, Gladstone: A 31-year-old Gladstone man has been charged with the murder of Kathryn Daley, 21, in February. The police investigation led them to a Gladstone home this morning where a 31-year-old local man was arrested. Police allegedly located a number of items belonging to Kathryn at the home in the suburb of New Auckland. A crime scene has been established at the home. The man was charged with murder and will remain in custody until his first court appearance in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
