Brisbane New Years Eve wrap-up
Police arrested 99 people on 120 charges in the Central Brisbane District overnight.
Metropolitan North Inspector Ben Hanbidge said most of the arrests in Southbank, Fortitude Valley and Brisbane City related to public nuisance and public intoxication.
“People were generally well-behaved, and there were no major problems in the area,” Inspector Ben Hanbidge said.
“The number of arrests was actually comparable other nights in the city.”
