Complaint of assault withdrawn
Following further enquiries into the alleged assault of Brisbane media personality David Lutteral, detectives have spoken with Mr Lutteral and the complaint has now been withdrawn. Investigators viewed security footage and spoke with a number of people. As a result of these enquiries, new information came to light and Mr Lutteral today withdrew his complaint.

Brendan Berichon has been remanded in custody today after being extradited from Victoria. Berichon appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court in relation to his part in the escape of five prisoners from the Sir David Longlands Correctional Centre at Wacol in November 1997.
