Four rescued in plane crash, Warraber Island
Four people have been rescued after a small plane crashed approximately 13kms south west of Warraber Island this morning.
Australian Search and Rescue (AUSSAR) coordinated the search with assistance from police, after being notified the plane had experienced difficulties about 11am.
A helicopter monitoring the search area sighted the people in the water and winched them to safety just before 1pm.
All people on board the plane have been accounted for.
