Civilian QPS employee suspended

A Queensland Police Service civilian employee has been suspended from his position after being charged with one count of possessing child exploitation material.

The civilian officer from the North Coast was charged following an investigation which was led by the Ethical Standards Command in conjunction with Operation Argos.

He has been bailed to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on 23 May.

The employee has been suspended pending the outcome of the court proceedings.

The investigation into this matter is continuing.
