Robbery with violence, Bowen Hills: A 16-year-old girl will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning charged with robbery with violence in company.  Around 2.30 yesterday afternoon a 26-year-old woman was standing on a walkway at the Bowen Hills Railway Station texting on her mobile phone when she was approached by five female girls.  Three of the girls allegedly grabbed the woman and punched her to the head and stomach wrenching the phone from her hands and running off.  Witnesses to the incident provided police with information which resulted in one of the girls allegedly involved being located.  Police are still searching for the other girls.  They are all described as being of Aboriginal appearance.

Suspicious death, Yarrabah: Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 27-year-old Yarrabah man last night.  Around 10.30pm the man staggered into a house in Workshop Street suffering with what appears to be a stab wound.  The man was conveyed to the Yarrabah Hospital but died a short time later.  A 40-year-old man is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

Grievous bodily harm arrest, Caloundra: A 31-year-old Kingston man will appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on May 20 charged with grievous bodily harm after an incident at the Caloundra RSL.  Around 11.20 last night a 26-year-old man was taking a sip from a drink when he has allegedly been punched in the face.  The glass the man was drinking from smashed into his face causing deep lacerations.  He was taken to the Nambour Hospital and is undergoing surgery for his injuries.
