Armed robbery, Oxley: Police are looking for a man after an armed robbery at the BP Service Station in Oxley Road, Oxley this morning. Around 4.20am a man armed with a knife entered the service station and demanded cash. The man left with a sum of money and was last seen heading towards Corinda. He is described as being Caucasian and around 20 years of age. He was wearing blue jeans, a red jacket and had his face covered with a piece of blue cloth. Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Grievous bodily harm arrest, Ferny Grove: A 17-year-old Bunya man will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today charged with the grievous bodily harm and robbery in company after an assault on a man at the Ferny Grove train station earlier this month. On May 23 it is alleged a 34-year-old man was assaulted by a group of men. Police investigations to date have led to the arrest of two men. In addition to the man arrested overnight, an 18-year-old Bunya man was arrested yesterday and charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and will appear on June 13 in the Brisbane Magistrates Court. The investigation is continuing to identify others involved in the altercation.
Fatal traffic incident, Buderim: Police are currently investigating a single vehicle fatal crash at Buderim. Around 6.15am a car containing a man and a woman crashed into a brick wall in Alfriston Drive. The man believed to be in his 40s died at the scene and the female driver was taken to the Nambour Hospital with suspected fractures. The Forensic Crash unit is at the scene.
