Attempted armed robbery, Leichhardt: Police are looking for three men after an attempted armed robbery at a bottle shop in suburb of Ipswich last night. Around 8.55 three males who were armed with knives and had their faced covered entered the Cellarbrations Bottle Shop at the corner of Toongarra and Samford roads, Leichhardt. One of the men walked behind the counter and demanded cash from a female employee. She grabbed a bar from behind the counter and chased the trio out of the shop. One of the males was wearing jeans with white shoes and a grey hooded jumper. The second male was wearing shorts and a blue hooded jumper. No description is available of the third male at this time. No one was injured in the incident. Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Attempted armed robbery charges, Bribie Island: An 18-year-old woman has been charged after an incident at a coffee shop on Bribie Island that occurred on Monday afternoon. It is alleged that the woman entered the shop on Fortune Avenue, Bongaree around 5.35pm and demanded cash from an employee before leaving. The woman has been charged with one count each of attempted armed robbery with violence and enter premises with intent. She has been released on bail and will appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on June 16.
