Pedestrian struck by vehicle, Oxenford: A 27-year-old Gold Coast man has died after being struck by a vehicle last night on the Pacific Highway, Oxenford. The incident occurred around 11.10pm just south of the Hope Island exit. Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, as it appears as though more than one car may have come in contact with the man. The man died at the scene. Police Forensic Crash Unit are investigating. Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Robbery, Sunnybank: Police are appealing for any witnesses after a 58-year-old Sunnybank Hills woman was robbed around 8.30pm last night, on Mains Road at Sunnybank. She was returning to her car when she felt a tug on the strap of her handbag. The woman has resisted giving up her handbag, but was then knocked to the ground. The offender then stole the handbag and fled in an easterly direction on foot, through the Macgregor State Primary School grounds. The male offender is described as 18 - 25 years of age, wearing a creme jumper, dark jeans and joggers. Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
