PCYC Week 2008, Monday July 21
PCYC Week 2008 is in full flight with tomorrow offering the opportunity for free “come and try” activities at many PCYC branches across the state.
Members are encouraged to bring a friend for free with offers and promotions that will apply to new or prospective PCYC members, including free memberships for the first 100 under 18s to join.
With more than 100 programs including a wide range of sporting and recreational activities, PCYC continues to include a community approach in its operation while offering broad choices in popular activities from fitness and martial arts to dance classes.
Acting CEO, Senior Sergeant Rob Fiedler said PCYC provided affordable and quality programs in a secure environment for young people all around the state.
“Our programs are targeted to provide young people with developmental opportunities, life skills, employment and entertainment, all in a safe, supervised, drug and alcohol free environment,” Senior Sergeant Fiedler said.
“As PCYC celebrates its 60th year, we have grown to incorporate 45 branches, look after more than 68,500 members mostly under 18, and have almost two million people a year visit our centres.”
PCYC Week celebrations will continue over the coming days to raise awareness of the not- for-profit organisation, appealing to the community to join their local PCYC.
This year members will have the chance to go into the draw to win a home theatre system, and an MP4 Player is available to be won at each PCYC branch.
