Road closure update, Northern Region

Police would like to remind motorists to exercise extreme caution when traveling on the road and not to cross flooded causeways or roadways. Road conditions and closures will change as creeks and water courses can rise and fall quickly.

The following road closures are current as of 6pm today.

The Bruce Highway between Ingham and Cardwell remains closed however the highway is open from Cardwell through to Cairns.

·        Ingham Road at Blakeys Crossing, Garbutt

·        Shaw Road near the Bohle River  Shaw

·        Paluma Village – from Paluma Village to Paluma Dam

·        Halifax-Ingham Road at the Mombelli Washaway, Halifax

·        Halifax-Bemeerside Road between the Bruce Highway and Halifax

·        The Bruce Highway at the Seymour River, Ingham

·        Hawkins Creek Road at Hawkins Creek, Ingham

·        Abergowie Road at Log Creek, Ingham

·        The Bruce Highway at the Girlock Washaway, Ingham

·        The Bruce Highway at Arnott Creek Bridge (1km north of Seymour River), Ingham

·        Hervey Range Road at the Burdekin River, Hervey Range

·        Majors Creek Road at Majors Creek

·        Woodstock-Giru Road at Majors Creek and Flinders Highway, Majors Creek

·        Gregory Development Road from Charters Towers to Belyando (Cape River)

·        The road between Prairie and Muttaburra

·        The road between Hughenden and Muttaburra

·        The road between Hughenden and Winton

·        The Kennedy Development Road at Han / Lynd Highway, Hughenden

·        The road between Ayr and Ravenswood near Scotts Creek, Clare

·        Barratta Road (Upper Haughton), Clare

·        Viv Cox Bridge

·        Road between Winton and Richmond, about 58km south of Richmond

·        Flinders Highway west of Richmond

·        Road between Richmond and Croydon

·        Road between Torrens Creek and Aramac (Prairie Creek)
