Afternoon Round-up
Update - search for missing men, Bundaberg: Police have called off the search for three missing men off the Bundaberg coast. The men were reported missing on Friday morning after leaving Burnett Heads in a 5 metre vessel last Wednesday afternoon. Various items found in the search this morning have been confirmed as not from the missing vessel. The families of the men have been advised.
Armed robbery, Kallangur: Two women were confronted by a man as they walked along Anzac Avenue, Kallangur just before midnight last night. The women had just finished work at a local pizza store when the man jumped from behind bushes and threatened them. The women ran however the man grabbed one of them and demanded she open the business. The employee was forced to open a safe and the man fled with a sum of cash. He is described as aged in his 30s, approximately185cm tall, of an average build with brown eyes and tanned skin. He was wearing jeans, a dark jacket with a beanie covering his head. Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Animal cruelty, Sarina: Police are appealing for assistance from members of the public following the death of goat at an agricultural centre in Sarina yesterday. An employee at the Breen Street centre found the goat around 3pm and reported the matter to police. Anyone who may have been in the area between 12 and 3pm and may be able to assist with the investigation are asked to contact Sarina Police on 4964 8444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Bus crash, Toowoomba (Harristown): Police were called to a two vehicle bus crash in Harristown this morning. The buses collided at the intersection of Phyliss and Miles Street just before 8am. One driver, a 69-year-old man was transported to the Toowoomba Base Hospital with minor injuries. Several passengers were treated at the scene for minor injuries. Police investigations continue.
