Arson arrest, Buranda: Police have charged a 17-year-old Loganlea man with one count of arson following a fire at the Buranda Railway Station. The station was totally destroyed in an early morning fire last Sunday. The man is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Armed robbery arrests, Gladstone, Rockhampton: A joint investigation by detectives from Gladstone and Rockhampton resulted in the arrest of three men for armed robbery. It is alleged the Rockhampton trio, aged 23, 29 and 38 robbed a North Rockhampton Pizza Hut on Saturday evening before allegedly robbing the United Service Station on Lower Dawson Street in the early hours of Sunday morning. Later that morning the men allegedly robbed the BP Service Station located on Aerodrome Road at Gladstone. The men have each been charged with three counts of armed robbery and are due to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow. The 38-year-old man was also with one count of receiving tainted property.

Armed robbery arrest, Robina: A 42-year-old Marsden man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow. It is alleged the man robbed the Soul Patterson Chemist, Robina Town Centre around 3pm last Sunday. The man has also been charged with three other unrelated offences, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, contravene a direction and obstruct police.

Woman armed with knife, Fortitude Valley: A 33-year-old East Brisbane woman has been charged with going armed in public following an incident in Fortitude Valley this afternoon. Police were called to Brunswick Street shortly after 4pm where a woman allegedly armed with a knife had allegedly threatened a man in a nearby shop before leaving and then allegedly striking out with the knife at passing vehicles. Police located the woman and managed to contain her to an area of footpath located near the entrance to the Valley train station. The woman allegedly refused repeated requests by police to drop the knife and only did so after an officer unholstered his taser. The woman was arrested without incident and is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with one count each of going armed so as to cause fear and possession of a knife in a public place. No one was injured during the incident and the police taser was not deployed.
