Sudden death, Springsure: A man in his 20’s has died following a workplace incident at a property near Springsure. The incident occurred about 3pm yesterday when the man was assisting to move a concrete water trough. Police are assisting Workplace Health and Safety with an investigation.

Roadside message signs damaged, Ashmore: Police are investigating an incident on the Gold Coast overnight where two roadside variable message signs were damaged. Police were notified just before midnight that the signs on Ross Street, Ashmore had been broken into and the displayed message changed. Police and Roadtek attended and the signs were disabled. Forensic officers examined the scene and investigations are continuing. Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen someone tampering with the signs before midnight last night.
