Armed person charged, Parkwood: Police have charged a 34-year-old man with one count of go armed to cause fear following an alleged incident in an Olsen Avenue service station.  Police allege the man was in the Parkwood address at around 9pm yesterday when he produced a knife and threatened and abused male customers.  The man is due to face Southport Magistrates Court later today.

Armed Robbery, Springfield: Police are seeking public information to help solve an armed robbery at a Woodcrest Way service station overnight. At about 8pm the attendant was approached by a man brandishing a firearm. The man demanded cash from the attendant who passed over a sum of money to the man who then fled on foot. The man was described as wearing all black clothing and a balaclava.  No one was injured during this incident.

Serious single vehicle crash, Cooroy: Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a single vehicle crash which left a 37-year-old man in a critical condition at Nambour Hospital overnight. Initial investigations indicate the man was traveling east on Elm Street, approaching Lamonts Road, and left the roadway on a right hand bend. The vehicle collided with trees and was extensively damaged. Police are appealing for witnesses.
