Robbery with violence, Zillmere: Police are looking for two men after 22-year-old man and a 20-year-old man were robbed in Zillmere yesterday afternoon. Around 4.15 the men stopped their car at a car park on Handford Road and one of them went into a shop. The other man waited in the car when he was approached by two men, one of whom stuck his head in the window and proceeded to grab cash and a mobile phone. The victim attempted to stop the man and he was assaulted by the second offender. The second occupant of the car returned and was confronted by the pair who stole his wallet and assaulted him before leaving. One of the offenders is described as Caucasian, with a slim build and brown hair. He was wearing a red and white striped polo shirt, dark shorts and white sneakers. The second offender is Caucasian with a proportionate build and was wearing a purple shirt, black and grey track pants and white sneakers. Firearm charge, Gold Coast: Police have charged a 24-year-old Coombabah man after a search warrant was executed at a residence on the Gold Coast last night. Around 6.10pm, police attended the Coombabah address where they allegedly located a firearm and a syringe. A 24-year-old man has been charged with one count each of failing to take precaution with a syringe and needle, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Bail has been refused and he will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.
