Pedestrian struck, Nikenbah

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle, which occurred at Nikenbah overnight.

Around 2.15am, the female pedestrian who is aged in her 40’s, was struck by a car on the Maryborough/Urangan Road, about 500m south of the intersection with Chapel Road.

The woman was transported to the Hervey Bay Hospital and the occupants of the vehicle were treated at the scene.

Traffic was diverted for a number of hours while officers from the Forensic Crash Unit examined the scene.
