Morning round-up second edition
Armed robbery, Glasshouse Mountains: A 38-year-old man has been charged with armed robbery following an incident on the Sunshine Coast last night. Just after 10.30pm, it is alleged the man entered the service station on Steve Irwin Way in possession of a knife and demanded money and goods from the attendant. It is alleged he left the store in possession of both but was later intercepted and recognised at a random breath testing site. He will appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
Indecent assault arrest, Kurwongbah: A 32-year-old Kallangur man will appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court this morning charged with common assault and three charges of indecent dealing. The man allegedly confronted three children aged 8, 9 and 12 as they walked home from school yesterday afternoon. The children were walking along a track at Kurwongbah on Brisbane northside when the man allegedly approached them. The three children were not physically injured during the alleged incident and ran home and told their father who contacted police. Police investigations lead them to an address where they located the alleged offender.
