Serious motorcycle incident, Barney View: A 23-year-old man has been transported to the PA hospital with suspected spinal injuries following a traffic incident earlier today. Initial reports suggest about 12.15pm, the man lost control of his bike on a bend on Boonah-Rathdowney Road while out with another motorcyclist. The second rider was not injured during the incident.

Armed robberies, North Brisbane: Police are investigating an armed robbery and an attempted armed robbery this evening which officers believe may be linked. Just after 5pm, two men entered a Brendale service station, one armed with a knife and demanded cash. They left the scene with a sum of money. About 5.30pm, two men fitting the same description, one wielding a knife, entered a Bracken Ridge service station and again demanded cash. The men are described as being in their 20s and approximately 178 centimetres tall. One of the men had dark brown hair, was wearing a dark grey polo shirt with an orange logo and black three quarter length pants. The second man has brown hair, was wearing a black t-shirt with a white emblem on the back and light blue jeans.
