Morning round-up third edition
Fatal motorcycle crash, Redcliffe: Investigations have commenced into a fatal motorcycle crash on Houghton Avenue around 3am. It is believed the bike was travelling around a bend at the intersection with William Street when for unknown reasons the 18-year-old male rider has mounted the footpath before being thrown from his bike. He was transported to the Redcliffe Hospital with serious injuries but later died. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating. Fatal crash, Glenden: A 25-year-old man has died as a result of a single vehicle roll-over on Perry Drive this morning. It is believed he was a passenger in a vehicle that lost control when turning from Perry Drive onto Sutton Development Road around 8am. The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and is being treated at the Mackay Base Hospital. The Forensic Crash unit will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Suspicious death, Toowoomba: A man is currently assisting police with inquiries in relation to the death of a man in North Toowoomba overnight. Police were notified about 6.20am that a man had been located deceased on Mort Street near the intersection with Christmas Street. Police are yet to establish the identity of the deceased man. Mort Street between Bridge and Roseberry streets is currently closed while police examine the crime scene. Serious crash, Auchenflower: Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious traffic crash on Milton Road last night. The incident occurred at the intersection with Wienholt Street shortly before 8pm and involved four vehicles. The crash resulted in serious injuries to a 62-year-old male driver of one of the cars. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in a critical but stable condition. The cause of the crash is being investigated by the Forensic Crash Unit.
