Road closures, Sunshine Coast and Caboolture
Police wish to advise that the south bound lanes of the Bruce Highway at Caboolture are completely shut to all traffic.
No traffic is moving through this area and all motorists heading south are advised to delay their travel.
The north bound lanes are open but traffic is moving very slowly.
There is also extensive local flooding in the Caboolture area and many local roads are closed to all traffic, this includes the area between the Pumicestone Road overpass and the Bribie Island overpass in the Lagoon Creek area.
Further to this, a traffic hazard is causing delays on Peachester Road in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland after a piece of road broke away, motorists are advised to proceed with caution.
Police are advising the community to avoid flooded roads, creeks and watercourses and members of the public are also reminded that road closures and road conditions can change rapidly as creeks and water courses can rise and fall quickly.
