Second comfit of suspect released, Darra

Police are continuing to seek public assistance to locate the man involved in a series of incidents at Darra and Sumners Park around 4pm yesterday and have released a second comfit of the man.

Darra comfit 2.jpgThe man initially came to police attention travelling southbound on the Centenary Motorway when he failed to stop for police; speeding away through traffic and off the Motorway into Darra.

The man drove dangerously through several intersections into Westcombe Street where police again attempted to stop the man, pursuing him through several streets before police discontinued their chase over concerns for safety.

A short time later the man crashed his motorcycle  near the intersection of Sumners Road and Wacol Station Road, Sumners Park.

The man reportedly assaulted a 35-year-old woman at that intersection, forcing her from her car.

The man also caused the woman’s 13-year-old son to get out of the car before driving away in her car.

Police located the woman’s motor vehicle overnight at Redbank Plains; this vehicle will be subject to scientific examination.

Police are appealing for public assistance to help identify the man (pictured above) described as being in his late 20’s to early 30’s, around 180cms tall, with brown hair and solid build. Police believe the man may be able to assist with their inquiries.

Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
