Possible fatal hit and run Mareeba
Police are appealing for information into the death of man at Mareeba this evening.
Around 7.15pm a man attended Mareeba Police Station to advise them he had found a man injured on the side of the road in Keeble Street. The man believed that the injured person had been struck by a car.
The man was transported to the Mareeba Hospital but was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police have closed Keeble Street and scientific officers are examining the scene. The man has not been identified at this time.
