Unlawful wounding charge, Mornish (Rockhampton): A 52-year-old local woman will face the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on August 17 charged with unlawful wounding and unlawful possession of a firearm following an incident at Mornish last evening. Around 9pm police were called to a Rosewood Wycarbah road residence in relation to a disturbance. A 49-year-old man was located at the residence with a single gun shot wound to his shoulder and was transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Armed robbery, Alexandra Hills: Police are investigating an overnight incident in which a pizza delivery driver was robbed. Around 8.30pm the driver arrived in Babiana Street, Alexandra Hills to deliver an order when he was approached by three male youths who appeared from a nearby laneway. The males threatened him before one of them struck him on the arm with an unknown object causing him to fall to the ground. They then stole several pizzas’ and a mobile phone before fleeing on foot. They were last seen heading towards the Alexandra Hills Primary School. The driver sustained an arm injury and was transported to Redland Bay Hospital for treatment. Armed robbery, Goodna: Police have commenced an investigation into the robbery of a man at a skateboard park at Goodna this morning. Around 9.30am a 27-year-old man was at the Mill Street park when he was approached by two males. One of them produced a syringe and demanded money. The pair fled with a sum of cash and some personal items and was last seen running along Bertha Street. The first man is described as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, aged between 20 and 30, approximately 175cms tall with a solid build and black hair with coloured tips; he was wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. The second man is described as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, aged between 20 and 30, approximately 180cms tall with a skinny build, shaved head and moustache; he was wearing a white t-shirt, black jumper, blue jeans and a blue and white sneakers.
