Armed robbery, Toowoomba: A man armed with a knife robbed a service station in Toowoomba tonight. At 7pm the man entered the business on the corner of Perth and McKenzie streets, Rangeville and threatened the female attendant with a knife. She handed over money and the man ran from the store. The police dog squad tracked the man into Jennings Street but the scent was lost. The offender had his face covered but was wearing distinctive clothing including a black cap with a yellow star on the front, a black zip up jacket with white writing on the back and a round motif and tan coloured boots. Drink driver, Capalaba: A 43-year-old Redland Bay woman will be issued with a notice to appear after allegedly being involved in a traffic crash then recording a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit. Police were called to a traffic crash on Redland Bay Road, Capalaba just before 3.30pm today. One of the vehicles involved in the crash allegedly left the scene and was located by police a short distance away. The female driver recorded a positive roadside breath test. In a further breath analysis she allegedly recorded a reading of 0.413%. Due to her level of alleged intoxication she was released into the custody of a responsible person. Investigations into the crash and alleged drink driving are continuing. No injuries were sustained in the crash.
