Fatal crash - Toowoomba

A man believed to be in his 50s died this morning in a single vehicle crash at Rangeville, Toowoomba.

About 6am police received a Triple 0 call regarding a crash on Long Street and were advised two people were trapped in the vehicle.

The QFRS attended to extract the male driver and his female passenger, but the man died a short time later.

The woman, believed to be in her 40s, was taken to the Toowoomba Base Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Long Road is closed between Webb and Burke streets and traffic control is in place.

The Forensic Crash Unit will be investigating.

There is no further information available at this stage.
