Fatal pedestrian crash, Bundaberg

Police and Emergency Services were called to the crash at the intersection of Bourbon and Bingera streets just before 6.30pm.

Initial investigations suggest the man was crossing the road and had reached the centre traffic island. For reasons still being investigated he entered the lanes of traffic and was struck by the utility.

The driver of the utility and a woman walking with the deceased man were uninjured in the crash.

There are no traffic lights or pedestrian crossing at this intersection.

The forensic crash unit is investigating.
