Afternoon round-up

Serious traffic crash, Mountain Creek: A 36-year-old man remains in a serious condition in the Princess Alexandra Hospital after a single vehicle crash yesterday. Around 2.15am the man crashed his motorcycle at the intersection of Glenfields Boulevarde and Mountain Ash Drive. The man sustained injuries to his body and was taken to Nambour Hospital, before being transported to PAH in a critical but stable condition. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating. Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Armed robbery, Maroochydore: Police are investigating an armed robbery of a liquor store on Aerodrome Road last night. Around 9.45pm a man entered the store with what appeared to be a handgun concealed under his clothing. The man demanded cash from the attendant who complied. The offender fled the store and got into a nearby vehicle. The man is described as being approximately 185cm tall and was wearing dark clothing and his face was covered by balaclava.

Fire, Cooya: Police are investigating a house fire on Munro Street, Cooya near Dalby last night. Emergency services were notified of the fire around 10.15pm, and upon arrival found the residence engulfed in flames. Preliminary investigations indicate the fire is not suspicious. The male occupant of the residence has not been located but it is believed he was not inside at the time of the fire. The scene was guarded overnight and investigations are continuing to locate the man.
