Morning Round-up

House fire, Gheerulla (west of Nambour): A house has been completely destroyed by fire last night at Gheerulla. Police and Queensland Fire and Rescue Service received a call from neighbours around 6.40pm. Upon arrival, the house was engulfed in flames and completely destroyed. There was no one at home at the time of the fire. Police do not consider the fire to be suspicious at this stage.

Serious traffic crash, Mackay: A motorcycle rider is in a serious but stable condition at Mackay Hospital after a crash yesterday. Around 4.15pm a car and a motorcycle collided on Glenella Road at Glenella. The 55-year-old man was thrown from his bike and suffered serious leg injuries. The driver of the car is believed to have not suffered any serious injuries.
