House fire, Maryborough: A house has been destroyed by fire overnight at Maryborough. Around 11.45pm police and Queensland Fire and Rescue Service were called to a residence on Bazaar Street. When they arrived the house was engulfed by flames. There was no one at home at the time of the blaze. Police Investigations continue
Man dies following crash, Warwick: A 76-year-old Goomburra man died in the Princess Alexandra Hospital around 3.30am yesterday after he was involved in a two vehicle crash on June 23. The man was travelling in a utility that collided with another utility at the intersection of Clintonvale-Goomburra Road and the Cunningham Highway around 7.20am. The man was taken to the Warwick Base Hospital where he was treated for a head injury, but his condition deteriorated and he was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Investigations into the cause of the man’s death are continuing.
Armed robbery charges, Toowoomba: Police have charged a 17-year-old man with two counts of armed robbery this morning. Around 2.15am it is alleged the man robbed a service station on the corner of Ruthven and James Streets with a knife. It is also alleged the man held up a service station at Rangeville on July 2. The Toowoomba man is due to face Toowoomba Magistrates Court today.
