Morning Round up Second Edition

Serious assault, Taigum:  A 16-year-old Calamvale boy is in a serious condition in the Royal Brisbane Hospital after suffering head injuries during an altercation with another male youth at a party last evening. Emergency services were called to an address in Bambrook Street, Taigum around 11.55pm where the teenager was located in an unconscious state in the front yard of a house. Police investigations are continuing.

Clandestine drug laboratory located, Deception Bay: Officers from the Moreton Bay Region Tactical Crime Squad arrested a man and woman early this morning after police allegedly located the pair at a clandestine drug laboratory in Deception Bay. Around 1.30 police searched industrial premises in Lipscombe Road and allegedly located the pair in a shipping container that was allegedly being used as an illicit drug lab for the production of methylamphetamines. The 37-year-old woman and 38-year-old man, both from Beachmere, were each charged with produce a dangerous drug and possess relevant thing. They are due to appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court tomorrow.  

Serious Traffic Crash, Marlborough: An 18-year-old man is in the Royal Brisbane Hospital Intensive Care Unit following a single vehicle traffic accident at Marlborough. The man from Marlborough was a passenger of a vehicle that appears to have driven off a six metre high embankment on Coorumburra Road at around 3pm yesterday. The injured man who suffered serious head and back injuries was transferred by helicopter to Rockhampton Hospital before being transferred to the ICU at the Royal Brisbane. The other two occupants of the vehicle were also taken to the Rockhampton Hospital suffering non life threatening injuries. Police investigations are continuing.
