Armed robbery, Maroochydore: Police are investigating an armed robbery at a video store at Aerodrome Drive, Maroochydore yesterday. Around 9.50am man entered the store and produced what appeared to be a syringe. The man demanded cash and the attendant complied before he fled the store with the money. The man is described as being of Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 30s and around 175cm tall. He was wearing a khaki T-shirt with a white long sleeve shirt underneath and jeans.

Drug charges, Maroochydore: A 53-year-old man has been charged in relation to the production of drugs after an illicit drug laboratory was located at an address last night. Police attended the Maroochydore address and upon searching the residence they allegedly located the laboratory. The man has been charged with one count each of producing dangerous drugs, supplying dangerous drugs, possess dangerous drugs and possess items used in the commission of a crime. He will appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.

Armed robbery MargateArmed robbery, Margate: Police are appealing for witnesses to an armed hold up at a handimarket on Oxley Avenue this morning. Around 3.35am two men allegedly entered the store and threatened the attendant with a knife, before forcing him to open the cash register. The offenders have fled the scene on foot with an amount of cash and cigarettes in a white plastic shopping bag. The offenders are described as men aged in their early 20s. The first offender was wearing a white jacket with a green hood, grey coloured bands around the sleeves and waist, a dark coloured mask, black tracksuit pants with a white strip down the outside of the leg, white coloured footwear and white gloves. The second offender is described as wearing a white hooded jumper with a checked pattern and ‘Billabong’ written on the left side of the hood and jumper, dark coloured tracksuit pants, white coloured footwear and white gloves.
