Homicide investigation, Mackay
An investigation has commenced into the murder of a man in his 20s on River Street this morning.
Police were called to the location just before 5am in relation to an altercation that was occurring.
When they arrived they located the man deceased.
One man is currently assisting police with their inquiries and investigations will continue today.
River Street has now been completely closed to all traffic and motorists are urged to avoid the area.
