Robbery with violence,?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />West End: Police are investigating the robbery of a video store in Boundary Rd, West End overnight.  Around 9pm the female employee was attending to her duties in the store when she noticed a man behind the counter removing the register tray.  She approached the man who pushed her out of the way as he moved past her.  He was last seen on foot in Boundary Street carrying the register tray. The man is described as Caucasian, in his 30s with a tall, skinny build and shaved brown hair.  When last seen he was wearing a black shirt and a black cap.

 Armed robbery arrest, Redcliffe: A 31-year-old Rothwell man and a 43-year-old Clontarf man will appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court today charged with armed robbery.  Just before 11am yesterday the two men allegedly entered a cash loan shop on Sutton Street wearing balaclavas.  One of the men was allegedly armed with a pistol and the second man ran behind the counter demanding money from the two female tellers on duty.  It is alleged that when the demands were not immediately met the man grabbed one of the women by the neck pushing her out of the way and removing money from the drawers.  Both men allegedly fled the store and made their way to a waiting car.  Police intercepted the car in Beach Street Kippa Ring around midday.

 Attempted robbery arrest, Kuranda: Two teenage boys aged 15 and 17 will appear in the Atherton Children’s Court today charged with attempted armed robbery.  The charges relate to an incident at the Sri Lankan restaurant on Rob Vievers Drive, Kuranda at 1pm yesterday.  The youths allegedly entered the restaurant armed with knives and demanded the contents of the register.  The proprietor allegedly refused to hand over the money and a scuffle took place.  The two youths then allegedly fled the store still armed with their knives.
