Absconder located, Rockhampton: Around 11pm last night police from Rockhampton located a man who had allegedly absconded from the low security farm at the Capricornia Correctional Facility. The man was last seen at 6.30pm last night. A police dog squad unit located the man walking along ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Yaamba Road at Parkhurst. The man was arrested without incident and has been charged with escaping lawful custody. The 28-year-old will appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court today.
Weapons offences arrest, Cairns: A 32-year-old man will appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court today charged with three weapons act offences, possession of a dangerous drug and obstruct police.
