House fire, Camp Hill: Police are guarding the scene of a house fire at Camp Hill on Brisbane’s southside. At 8.40pm police and Emergency Services were called to a fire in a high–set timber house on Orwell Street, Camp Hill. The female occupant was home at the time of the fire and suffered smoke inhalation. The upper level of the house sustained extensive damage. Investigations into the cause of the fire will continue today.
Grievous bodily harm charge, Rosslea (near Townsville): A 21-year-old man has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm following an alleged altercation at a Rosslea address early this morning. It is alleged the man was involved in the physical altercation that has left a man in his 20s in a serious condition in the Townsville Hospital. He will appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court today.
