Witnesses sought - Glasshouse Mountain fatal
Witnesses are sought following a single vehicle fatal crash on the Bruce Highway at the Glasshouse Mountains this morning.
Police received information around 5.40am a B Double was on its side on the median strip and the driver was trapped in the vehicle. The male driver, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, was located deceased at the scene.
Preliminary investigations indicate the vehicle was travelling southbound when for unknown reasons it veered across the highway and collided with the Tiborgargan Creek Bridge.
There were some delays with traffic after one lane southbound and northbound was closed to allow for the clean-up and removal of the vehicle.
The highway was reopened around 12.30pm.
