Unlawful wounding, Clontarf: A 53-year-old man will appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court this morning charged with unlawful wounding. A 25-year-old woman and two men, aged 30 and 53, had been allegedly drinking together on Thursday night at a residence in King Street. Around 12.30am on Friday October 2 the woman was discovered with a wound to her stomach. She was transported to the Redcliffe Hospital where she underwent surgery for her wound. Her injury was not considered life threatening.
Attempted armed robbery, Main Beach: Police are searching for two men who attempted to rob a convenience store at Main Beach overnight. Around 7.35pm two men have entered the convenience store through a rear door. One of the men was armed with a machete which he menaced staff with while demanding money. The men were unable to obtain any money as it had previously been secured in a safe. The men fled the scene empty handed. None of the staff were physically injured during the incident. The first offender is described as early to mid 20s, Caucasian, 183cm tall, of a medium build, wearing a black ‘Von Zippa’ hoodie, possible white cap, black board shorts with bright lime green motif on left leg, white runners and was armed with a machete. The second offender is described as Caucasian, 156cm tall and was wearing a black stocking over his head.
