Morning Round-up

Fatal crash, near Mungindi: A woman in her late 30’s was killed in a single vehicle crash around 26km from Mungindi yesterday morning. Around 11.30am the car the woman was travelling in failed to negotiate a bend on Talwood Mungindi Road, leaving the roadway and rolling several times. The woman, who was the front passenger, died at the scene. The male driver, aged in his late 20’s suffered minor injuries. Two children under the age of five were seated in the rear of the vehicle and both suffered minor injuries. Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.

Serious crash, Nudgee: A 22-year-old Strathpine man remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition following a motorcycle crash at Nudgee yesterday. Around 1.15pm the man’s motorcycle left the southbound lanes of the Gateway Motorway at Nudgee. The man suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. He is currently being treated at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. Investigations are continuing.
