2009 ‘Schoolies’ media arrangements
The below media arrangements relate to obtaining information from the Queensland Police Service about the 2009 Gold Coast ‘Schoolies Week’, being held between Saturday November 21 to Monday November 30.
Daily Briefings:
Each day Gold Coast District Superintendent Jim Keogh will conduct a press conference where arrests figures and comments about overnight events will be given to the media. A media release with arrest figures and comments will also be released generally via email to all media after this press conference.
When: Daily from Saturday November 21
Where: Surfers Paradise Police Centre, 68 Ferny Avenue, Surfers Paradise
Time: 8.30am
Media representatives are requested assemble in the foyer of the Surfers Paradise Police Centre where a media officer will escort them to the conference room.
Police Media Liaison Officers Dedicated To ‘Schoolies’ Enquiries:
Police Media Liaison Officers will be available 24-hours a day over the 10 day period for media enquiries about the event.
The media officers will be based in the Surfers Paradise Police Centre and can be contacted in the office on (07) 55 707 971 or on mobile 0419 711 731.
