Abduction, Deception Bay: Police are appealing for information from the public
following a reported abduction of a teenage girl in Deception Bay on Thursday November 19. The incident occurred in Spring Street when a 15-year-old girl was grabbed by a man driving a white canopied utility. The girl was pulled into the vehicle but managed to escape unharmed after traveling a short distance to Beaufort Place. This man is described as being aged in his late 30s, unshaven, proportionate build, brown hair with a fringe, approximately 175cm tall, wearing a black t-shirt. Comfit attached. Vehicle used in attempted robbery, Runcorn: Police are searching for two men who drove a stolen vehicle into a shop front overnight in an attempted robbery. Around 1.20am a white Holden Commodore sedan smashed into the front doors of a newsagency in Daw Road, Runcorn. Two men alighted from the vehicle and entered the shop, where it is believed they attempted to obtain money from an automatic teller machine. The pair fled empty handed in the vehicle, which was located on-fire, a short time later in a nearby street. The men are described as Caucasian and aged in their 20’s. One is believed to have a solid overweight build, olive complexion and was wearing a black t-shirt. The other man is believed to have a proportionate build and was wearing a dark cap. Both men had their faces covered. No one was injured, no property stolen and police investigations are continuing.
