Appeal for witnesses, Emerald: Police are appealing for information in relation to the assault of a 20-year-old woman at Emerald on the week-end. Around 5pm on Saturday the woman was walking in Yamala Street when she was assaulted by two unknown males. Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen any unusual or suspicious activity, person or vehicles in Yamala Street or nearby areas to contact Emerald CIB on 4983 8100 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers. Appeal for witnesses, traffic crash, Bellbird Park: Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen a red Mazda 626 sedan driving along Jones Road, Bellbird Park this morning to contact them. Around 6.25am the vehicle was traveling north along Jones Road (towards Goodna) when the driver appears to have lost control and collided with a power pole. The female driver fled the scene and the male passenger was uninjured. It is believed the car may have overtaken several vehicles prior to crashing, including a white bus and a dark blue or green Holden Commodore sedan. Investigations by Goodna police into this crash are continuing.
