Drug charges, Eudlo: A 32-year-old Marcus Beach man and a 27-year-old Maroochydore woman were issued with notices to appear after police allegedly located drugs and handguns in a vehicle yesterday. The vehicle was intercepted around 6.30pm on Palmwoods-Eudlo Road at Eudlo and a subsequent search allegedly located two handguns, a quantity of drugs believed to be methylamphetamines, drug utensils and ammunition. The woman was issued with a notice to appear for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of utensils. The man was issued with the notice for supplying dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of utensils, possession of firearms, possession of explosives (ammunition) and possession of things used in the commission of a crime. They are both due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court at a later date.
Robbery with violence, Sunnybank: A 71-year-old woman’s knee and elbow was injured after she was pushed over and had her purse stolen at Sunnybank tonight. The woman was walking on a pathway behind Brooklands Circuit around 6.10pm when she was approached by two males who demanded her purse and produced an unknown weapon. She was pushed onto the ground, injuring her elbow and her knee, after she refused to hand over her belongings. The men took her purse before running away. They are both described as being approximately 175cm tall, with a slim build and dark hair. Images have also been released of two males who may be able to assist police with their investigations.
