Fire, Kippa Ring: A fire caused extensive damage to a commercial building in High Street at Kippa Ring overnight. The fire was noticed shortly after 6am and police attended the scene. The building is used by retail businesses and no one was in the premises at the time of fire. Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
Fatal single vehicle roll-over, Clairview: The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating a fatal single vehicle roll-over that occurred around 11.15am today on the Bruce Highway at Clairview. A passenger was entrapped in the vehicle and died at the scene. The driver and another passenger suffered serious injuries and were transported to the Mackay Base Hospital.
