Serious assault, Fortitude Valley
Police have released security vision of a man who may be able to assist with the investigation in relation to an assault in Fortitude Valley on October 23.
About 3am the victims, two men aged 28 and 23, were walking along Brunswick Street towards the intersection of Alfred Street when they passed another group already involved in an altercation.
As the victims walked past the group the offender has hit the 28-year-old man several times causing him to fall to the ground.
The 23-year-old man has then gone to the first victim’s assistance and was punched in the face by one of the group.
The offender has then fled the scene and headed northwest along Brunswick Street.
Both victims were transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for treatment.
The first victim sustained a fractured jaw and a broken nose and the second victim suffered bruising to his face.
The offender is described as a male of Pacific Islander appearance. He was wearing a red t-shirt the word ‘CUBA’ on the front and a black baseball cap with a white and black pattern on the front.
